Ballet Classes at Jonni's Dance Academy have the same dress code for all levels.

Girls - Hair needs to be off the face and neck preferably in a bun.

No jewerly - except engagment or wedding rings, and stud earrings.

Solid black leotard, pink tights, and pink leather ballet shoes.  Ballet Slippers from one of the discount stores are not ballet shoes.

This is a leather ballet slipper that may be purchased through our studio or fine retailers such as Dance Shoppe, Degage Dancewear, or Edge Wise.

This is a slipper from a discount house that does not have a sole on the bottom.  They are like house slippers.

Boys hair should be off the neck.
Solid white t-shirt, solid black shorts, and black leather ballet shoes.

Female students over 18 may wear any solid color leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, and a ballet skirt or dance shorts.  

Hip Hop Classes at Jonni's Dance Academy

Stud earrings only no dangles (even just a little).

Clothes that are easy to move in (no blue jeans)

Shoes that are never worn outside (even in our parking lot - the gravel will cut our surface floor)

You may purchase jazz shoes or hip hop sneakers through our studio or at the Dance Shoppe, or Degage Dancewear.
Jazz Shoe

Hip Hop Sneakers - Thess are more expensive than the basic jazz shoe.  We refer to them as the SUVs of Hip Hop shoes vs. the jazz shoe being more the Geo Metro.

For Hip Hop or Tap Black pants are commonly worn in class all these styles are available through our studio.

Tap - hair should be off the face and neck. 

Solid black tap shoes.

Stud earrings only and engagment or wedding rings.
